Bangkok - City of Angels

We've been to Bangkok a number of times when we lived in Brunei, as it is a useful stop over point to many destinations in South East Asia. Most memorable was the time we returned from Vietnam with a very sick Timothy (aged 5) and drove from the airport straight to the hospital where he was immediately admitted. Although Chris and Rox still remember that they had to miss out on the planned visit to the iceskating rink, the drip worked its magic, and the next morning the hospital okayed us to leave at 5 am, in order to catch our flight home to Brunei.

Another time we spent a wonderful Christmas with Kuruvin and her family in Bangkok.

And it was very special to have Ku meet us at the airport after an overnight flight from Brisbane of just over eight hours on a full jumbo jet! Thailand is definitely hotter than Queensland right now, although I'm assured that today has been cooler than recently. Still sticky walking round in the middle of the day - and drinking copious amounts of refreshingly cold water.

Looking forward to catching up with LOTS of friends while here.
